Moldavite Sterling Silver Ring
Genuine natural Moldavite, set in a sterling silver adjustable ring.
This piece of Moldavite showcases a fantastically textured surface, perfectly demonstrating how millions of years ago this boiling space born glass formed as it cooled - making for a completely unique piece of history!
This stunning ring can cleverly span ring sizes O-S (UK) or 7¼-9¼ (US). See size guide in listing photos for more details. Moldavite shard measures approximately 12x10mm. Width of band is approximately 3mm wide. Ring will come in a tartan gift pouch with 'Moldavite & Tektite' story card.
Please note: Our photographer's hands are small, please check with a ruler if uncertain of scale.
As setting adjustable rings can sometimes be a delicate procedure, we are happy to set the size for you before we sent it out to you - just let us know in the 'free gift card message' field or at checkout.
At Two Skies we believe that owning this highly sought after "space gem" will strengthen and enhance your inner joinery and accelerate personal and spiritual evolution.
RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGS
It is quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself as long as you go slowly and are careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers, rather than pulling at the end sections – this will help keep a round shape too. This ring will span quite a few sizes without compromising the original design concept. Once set, it is advisable not to resize again, as silver is quite soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently.
Moldavites are an amazing type of natural glass, formed by the heat and impact of a meteorite landing on Earth 15 million years ago. Glass formations like this ('tektites') have been discovered across the globe, but moldavites are unique in their olive-green colouring and can only be found in a small area surrounding the river Moldau in The Czech Republic/Germany. Treasured for centuries by various cultures, it has been used for many purposes - from arrowheads to lucky talismans. Gram-for-gram, Moldavite is rarer than a diamond, as only 50 tonnes were ever formed on earth (compared to over 26 tonnes of diamond produced PER YEAR!) Without a doubt very rare and precious, moldavites are also thought to hold extremely powerful metaphysical energies and are associated with the holy grail.
