Garnet Sterling Silver Ring
Beautifully faceted, this pinky-red Garnet has been set in a delicate wrap style sterling silver ring.
Gemstone measures approximately 4mm diameter. Due to the open design of the band, this ring is slightly adjustable between ring sizes K-M (UK) or 5¾- 6¼ (US), without compromising the original design concept too much. Ring band is 1.5mm wide at rear. Height of ring (the length it will span your finger when worn) is approximately 8mm.

RESIZING ADJUSTABLE RINGS
It is quite easy to change the size of the ring yourself as long as you go slowly and are careful, manipulating the inner area of the band with warm fingers, rather than pulling at the end sections – this will help keep a round shape too. This ring will span quite a few sizes without compromising the original design concept. Once set, it is advisable not to resize again, as silver is quite soft and can become brittle and snap if bent too frequently.
January's birthstone, Garnets are known to have a warm, deep red that is similar to that of a Ruby, and is often mistaken for one to the untrained eye! When you think 'Garnet', images of sparkling red gems probably come to mind, but there are actually Garnets of many colours, with the rarest being colourless, peach, and green. Used in adornment for over 5,000 years, Garnets were popular in ancient Egypt from around 3100 BC, being used as beads in necklaces as well as inlaid jewellery (gems set into a surface in a decorative pattern). Garnet’s many myths frequently portray it as a symbol of light, faith, truth, chivalry, loyalty and honesty.
